CJC-1295 is a modified GHRH(1–29) peptide containing specific amino acid substitutions that enhance stability and resistance to enzymatic degradation. The addition of the Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) enables covalent binding to circulating serum albumin via a reactive maleimide group. This albumin binding dramatically prolongs the peptide’s plasma half-life compared to non-DAC GHRH analogs.

This extended exposure results in sustained GH and IGF-1 elevations without the need for frequent dosing, distinguishing it from short-acting GHRH analogs such as sermorelin or non-DAC CJC-1295.
